Art has always been apart of my life because of my mom. It became a vessel for me and I always love the results even if I hate the creation.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I mostly work in 2D and enjoy experimenting with different mediums like graphite, ink, acrylic, and oil. I’m still in an exploratory phase, but I’d describe my work as abstracted. Starting projects are usually a mystery, since I have no initial plan going in it’s really excited to see where I can take my self.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from my mother, an intuitive artist whose practice taught me to create without needing immediate understanding. Through her, I feel safe to work freely and have my art evolve with me. My creative process is intuitive rather than reference driven. Visually, I’m drawn to natural systems, such as cells, trees, veins, waves, plants, and roots. Which do appear in my work non intentionally.
What would you do with $25,000?This opportunity itself means a lot to me. Being part of this competition and having my work seen would open real doors for my practice. The $25,000 would help me sustain that momentum, allowing me to travel, create, and continue building my work as attention grows. My work is always in motion, and this support would let me follow it without being held back by practical limits, keeping what I’m building alive and growing.
