I create with wine to preserve emotion, memory, and the quiet connection I carry with the land and culture I come from.

I love creating figurative paintings with wine as my main medium. In Chile, where I come from, wine is deeply rooted in our culture; it’s almost a religion, a shared identity we grow up feeling proud of. Living abroad, painting with wine has become a personal way to stay connected to those roots while exploring memory, emotion, and quiet human moments through my work.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m searching for beauty through my own vision, trying to create a personal language by transforming material, especially the living nature of wine, into something connected to memory and remembrance. There is something deeply beautiful about wine and its relationship with time, and I try to translate that through my work. Wine and my paintings exist within the same emotional space, both created with the hope of lingering in memory.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it in continuing and deepening my research with wine as a painting medium. This support would allow me to keep refining and expanding the work. It would also provide opportunities to continue developing my project, explore new ideas, and share this evolving body of work with a wider audience, step by step.
