I create things to share my visual experiences living in a thick forest in a very rural area. It keeps me centered.

I pretty much always combine mediums on wooden panels but sometimes on paper too. I love oils, acrylics, pastels, inks, gouache, even crayons, all at once.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from the forest I live in, my garden, my animals. I am so concerned that human beings will forget many of the creatures and flora we still have today but will soon lose. I feel the need to capture these things while I still can. When I work in just black and white, I really like depicting people in not so perfect circumstances.
What would you do with $25,000?Much of that money would probably go to art supplies! Some would probably go to the local animal shelter here. (there's only one and we are very rural and they need all the help they can get). I do commissions so the supplies tend to go toward those. I also like to sell small works and donate the proceeds to a place in need or contribute to silent auctions for certain orgs that hold them. Maybe get a sink with some running water in my studio!
