I am closely tied in nature and wherever I go I tend to notice everything that is growing and every animal that is around me. I often use my art to fuse the nature and wildlife I love and admire into pieces that show elements of our culture or past cultures. My paintings often will go into dreamlike visions or states. I like to think of it as magical realism.
Where do you find inspiration?From the outdoors, my readings of history, art, science, nature, my incredible students, and the world around us that needs love and protection.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to relaunch my art career after being an educator and student art advocator 18 years. I would live my Artist life every single day.
