I create art to share hope and to uplift, inviting viewers to appreciate the nuances that reveal the beauty of the mundane.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
"I create art that speaks to the soul. Through acrylic painting, mixed media, and songwriting, my goal is to provoke thought and share uplifting, positive messages that resonate."
Where do you find inspiration?"I find inspiration in the mundane. Rust blooming across an old truck - I see faces in it. The colors hidden in a turkey bone become a spectrum. Light falling on a broken, still-standing house reminds me of domestic violence survivors — unbroken in spirit. A weathered car that refuses to fall apart becomes resilience itself. These ordinary scenes are beautiful to me. Look closer, and each one holds meaning."
What would you do with $25,000?"When I was in art school, I didn’t always have money for supplies — and I felt how much that held me back. Because of that, I want to create a scholarship to help up-and-coming art students get the materials they need. I’m also seeking support for my own supplies, so I can keep making the kind of work that touches souls and finds meaning in the mundane."
