The art medium I enjoy creating my paintings with is acrylic, ink, and acrylic markers. I enjoy painting the types of wildlife and naturescapes around me. My style is what I refer to as folk- expressionism. Bright colors and bold dark lines are a staple of any of my art pieces.
Where do you find inspiration?As an artist growing up I was &, still am a huge fan of Disney and their old school animation. My love for art and drawing came as a small child from watching old school Disney movies like; Pocahontas, Brother Bear, Hercules, The Fox and the Hound, etc. These hand drawn films were a huge driving force in what sparked my interest in art. Today as an adult I find inspiration from the views on my farm, my spouse’s family farm, the animals I’m surrounded by & have the opportunity to raise.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won the $25,000 I would use a portion of it to donate to the local center for the arts, so that disadvantage youth in my local area could have the opportunity to create art in ways that they couldn’t before. Everyone should be able to create regardless of social status or medium of choice. I would also use another portion to put towards my art and art supplies, so that I can continue to pursue my creative passion.
