To be an artist is to be a student of life. Creating art positions me as a conduit to a higher power, there’s no gift I’m more grateful for.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite creations are the ones that unveil themselves to me, the ones that escape the original plan and expand my creativity as I go. Art that communicates what I can’t put into words, inspires love, heals, connects, and stimulates deeper thought. While oils and oil pastels are my favorite medium, I also enjoy dabbling with mixed media on my journey of discovering my full potential as an artist.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. From quiet walks in nature, conversing with friends and strangers, listening to music, daily journaling, studying other artist’s works and learning different philosophies, as well as in the moments before I drift to sleep and through my vivid dreams at night. I always set the intention to be present and open minded enough to notice the synchronicities.
What would you do with $25,000?I’ve dreamed of getting my own studio and would use the money to invest in my business, it would allow me to expand my community through attending art retreats and classes. I also love sharing my art for free when I’m able and it would provide me with more flexibility to do so. I know that if I’m meant to win the money, it will open even greater opportunities than I can currently imagine.
