My favorite type of art to create is large-scale work, things that can be seen from far away. I love using bold colors and weird graphic elements to create pieces that feel like they're breathing. I try not to limit myself to just one medium, it's how i keep getting better!
Where do you find inspiration?Lately, much of my inspiration has come from reflecting on my childhood or life events as I live through them. I’m also deeply inspired by the high school students I currently teach and mentor. Their creativity, brutal honesty, and fresh perspectives constantly push me to think differently and create more fearlessly. Sometimes my best pieces come from timed pressure to create!
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to continue funding my education and complete my degree. As a first-generation college student, graduating would mean breaking barriers not only for myself, but for my family as well. Unfortunately, financial hardship and a large outstanding balance have placed my education on hold. This support would allow me to finish school while allowing me to continue to create! I wouldn't have to choose between the two.
