I draw to capture the feeling a person/experience gives me. The beauty of art is seeing how someone’s perspective shapes their work.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy drawing portraits the most but, I also experiment with watercolor paints and play piano on occasion although I am far from mastering it. I enjoy playing around on the pianos at my college campus. Art has always played a huge role in who I am and while there are times that life can take me away from creating it’s always there waiting for me to return to it acting as a consistent force in my life.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in other people. Seeing other people be creative and passionate about the medium they love is an infectious feeling. In my life I’ve also found having people there to give you support and encouragement when you’re having difficulty recognizing your own achievements can really inspire you to keep creating and be less hard on yourself.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy a car. I am a commuter student at my university as well as a hairdresser and transportation is essential for my education and work. I have a car currently but she’s getting up there and is in desperate need of some TLC. Besides that I would love to take some piano lessons because I’ve always wanted to learn. Right now I’m just messing around with the keys at school so I’m sure the students at my college that overhear me play would appreciate it too.
