I love to create art because it makes the word more tangible. Painting is a language and I find myself able to communicate with it.

Oil paintings are what I love to create the most, but I also enjoy making jewelry, glass blowing, sewing, and film photography.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from my home-town, New Orleans, and heritage as an Armenian-American. With grisaille oil painting techniques, I paint detailed works addressing the theme of the human experience. I explore figurative and suggestive storytelling and attempt to reveal the surrealism in everyday objects and scenes. The unconscious plane or “dreamworld” is a place where ideas and conversations can be had between artist and viewer from nearly any walk of life.
What would you do with $25,000?I would do a couple things. Half of the money I would put back into a local art non-profit for inner city kids called YAYA, where I started painting and glass blowing at 14. The other portion I would put towards my college tuition as I’m currently finishing my bachelors degree. And some of course would go towards making more art.
