Retrospectively: sculpture, printmaking, children's art teacher, visual journaling, art therapist, collage-montage-frottage artist, mixed media collage artist, beading, wire and paper jewelry and acrylic painter. Currently working on an installation to promote Child Trafficking awareness using sculptural paper clay. In Summary, I'm moving into multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary art works.
Where do you find inspiration?Emotionally: my heart and spiritual connection to GOD. Thematically: The biology of lake, ocean and swamp flora and fauna, atmospherically -- Fire, Air, Earth and Water. And, more. Materially: Sacred play and exploration of the elements - mark making, color, texture, dimensions, patterns, and values and how various materials can be used to express myself, to speak to the viewer authentically.
What would you do with $25,000?It is my nature to mix things up, to invite people in, therefore, I'd set up an open studio space for children of all ages to create with childlike abandon. I'd invite all my artist friends to participate in sacred play and make things. There would be a Gallery store in which everyone could learn how to sell their creations. I'd promote creativity in family homes, churches and community centers by offering expressive arts of all kinds that would bring HONOR AND GLORY TO GOD.
