My whole life had to be shattered and rebuilt over and over again. I could always find paper and a pen to make sense of it all.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Ink and animation, I’ve always loved telling stories to folks through my art and music! I also craft, I love to sculpt, paint, sew, and make music I do all these till my hands are raw and my throat gives out. It’s a dream to have people see what I make and I want to take every sense and allow anyone to enjoy what I’ve made!
Where do you find inspiration?Through the kindness of everyone in my life and the world I get to experience, all my love, happiness, sadness, rage and pain goes into what I create. It’s a sign that I was there and so others know they aren’t alone. I went through a wild journey west, traveling from Corpus Christi, Texas to Los Angeles, California. I’ve already made most of my dreams come true by chasing what I want and not letting the world tell me no. That’s what I’m making sure to tell everyone that sees my work. Chase it.
What would you do with $25,000?$1,000 dollars would just get me through the summer (I work in education so I don’t get paid during the summer.) I’d pursue the rest of my degree so I can have a stable job as a librarian. I’ve already got my associates and it would be nice to have a stable form of income where I don’t need to work in the hot California sun. Even then I’d still work and volunteer helping to take care of horses at a rescue.
