I love creating art because I can get completely lost in it, and there’s nothing better than the satisfaction of seeing it come to life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I paint women who tell a story, each one different, each her own muse. Some have become notebooks, bringing their story into everyday life. I do this because every woman is a work of art.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in certain faces, not all, just the ones that catch me. There is something about them, whether it is strength, personality, or a story, that makes me want to bring them to life on canvas.
What would you do with $25,000?I would give it to my daughter to help her buy a home. With how challenging that is today, it would mean a lot to her. She has a 4 month old, my first grandchild, and I would love for him to grow up in a home that belongs to them.
