The act of painting for me is a manifestation of what is inside my soul- silently urging me to create beauty to help heal the world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love painting, it fills my soul. Replenishes my hope in these dark times. I make expressionist paintings that stream from another place. Filled with action, movement and passion, the feeling of peace I have after starting and completing a painting is otherworldly. Sometimes, I seemingly disappear in the process of creating. A force streams through me, I am simply the channel. I wish to share these experiences with others, to help them see the beauty in the world & feel free from life’s burdens
Where do you find inspiration?Nature is my inspiration. A healing balm. The magic elixir. Taking a walk through a pine forest, sitting by a mountain stream or breathing by the ice blue sea allows me the peace I need to create once again. After being an artist for 40 years, nature never fails to ignite the fire that helps me continue to create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would travel to a country I’ve never been to, and absorb all of its beauty. Upon returning I would create a brand new body of work, and a book with personal journey entries to help inspire others. I would then host a show or seek a venue to share the work in Los Angeles.
