What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love creating abstract and mixed-media art that allows me to express emotion without limits. Abstract work gives me the freedom to translate my feelings and experiences into visual art. I’m especially drawn to pieces that feel expressive and intuitive—where color, movement, and texture come together to tell stories words often cannot.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in life and my own experiences. When I was diagnosed with cancer, I lost my song and creative drive. Through art and music sessions at Levine Cancer Institute, I slowly found my song again. My piece “Melody” represents that reconnection. “Eli,” my abstract elephant, symbolizes strength and long life during cancer; the aura represents God’s guidance, and the colors reflect struggle. I also created an abstract lab inspired by my brother’s dog, who brought comfort and healing.

What would you do with $25,000?

At the end of my first year of treatment for CLL, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I continued CLL treatment while undergoing breast surgery, radiation, and medication. I need a reprieve. A trip to Europe would be a dream come true, offering a chance to experience the art masters, as well as rest and healing. I would use part of the money for medical bills and invest in art supplies to create, donate my work, and provide art supplies to children in need.
