I create art pieces as a way of comfort for my disability as a visually impaired person. It makes seeing the world easier.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love making paintings of characters from either already existing stories or my own, as well as portraits of people's faces. My favorite thing is studying someone's unique facial features and capturing it in a painting.
Where do you find inspiration?I usually get inspired by stories I read from fantasy books or tv series that I watch. When I relate to a character and I can feel the emotion in their stories. I also mainly just get inspired to paint when I'm able to look at someone's face, no matter who they are. I don't get to see people's faces very much due to my disability so when I get the chance, I like to study them.
What would you do with $25,000?A good portion of that money would go to my parents in order to make their lives a little easier. They've worked hard and struggled for many years and even then they're always there to support me, even when I have a crazy Idea, they'll try their best to make it a reality. They deserve the money a lot more. Whatever amount I keep that doesn't go to my parents would be used to better step into my independence. Maybe rent a home and live on my own accord. Prove to everyone that I am capable.
