Art is a language. It helps me communicate and connect with the world. Art can help one heal, learn, and appreciate something beautiful.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
The one that truly moves an individual deeply. Achieving a profound connection with the audience is my final aim. During my process of creating a portrait, I try to truly understand the character I am portraying. While doing so, the invisible thread between us is created.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration can be found in and around us. In the last collection I made, I chose to paint women who deeply inspired me.
What would you do with $25,000?After years working as a graphic designer and teacher, I chose to follow my true calling through painting. Winning this opportunity would help me continue creating while supporting my 77-year-old father, who is undergoing cancer treatment and struggling to keep his company alive. I also hope to help friends affected by loss and illness after Covid. For me, art is not only creation — it is hope, purpose, and a way to uplift others.
