I create art not only to express myself, but free myself from the pressure of my thoughts and emotions.

My favorite type of arts is ceramics. I delved into it while I was in community college, even working as a student assistant to help the art professors. However I haven’t been able to play with this medium after I graduated and had to move, but I know once I graduate from current university I can return to that studio and keep working with ceramics. For now I mostly delve on improvement my watercolor, paper mache, acrylic pain, and digital pieces.
Where do you find inspiration?I mostly find inspiration from within myself. I’ve struggled with depression from childhood, often finding it to do even small tasks . But as I’ve learned to manage my depression I’ve seen my work go from vibrant illustrations to something more accurately represents what I feel inside but haven’t been able to show to those close to me for fear of judgement. But by incorporating those feelings I had been ashamed of into my art I can begin to feel free of the pain I’ve been caring for decades.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would first concentrate on paying off my current debt and paying for my future tuition. After that I’d give a large portion to my parent’s who are getting ready for retirement, I want them to feel comfortable and not be stressed anymore. And finally, if there is any money remaining I’d like to contemplate graduate school or using the money to support me as I get my footing in the art world.
