I love to create wood art because l can go to a place of Utopia. I create what my heart and hands lead me to do. I love it!

Wood sculptures that tell a story is what l love! I use my bandsaw as a designer in the wood l cut. I can use any type of wood to create my art, including pieces l find during a walk. I never know what might come about, and often it is through mistakes that my greatest pieces have been created My favourite art is what lm working on each day. Nothing compares to this passion that l have in wood. I can escape into the heavens and feel only Joy.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration is being alone and releasing the creative energy l did not know l had. I have never had a lesson and l just have this desire to create by cutting into wood. Much of my creation comes from the grief and challenges l have turned into a Utopia. When You are alone You find Yourself not in the grief but the reward of coping ,and turning it into an Art. I dont even need inspiration, its just there! I love my craft!
What would you do with $25,000?Mostly l wud appreciate being noticed as an Artist in this Journey. I believe l wud take my family on a well deserved family holiday and buy some better quality wood. Thank You for this honour,,l am so very grateful. Lois Giles
