Currently I’m a full time ceramics artist focused primarily on representational art tiles. I was a toy sculptor making prototypes for the toy industry over 30 years ago. Became a tattoo artist for the past 30 and picked up sculpting again about 10 years ago. My favorite… that’s tough. I love drawing, which leads to tile making, cutting lino for prints, growing South African plants which I hybridize to make genetically unique creations. Clay though is my favorite. Earth in hand.
Where do you find inspiration?Easy, nature , being appreciative for the ability to be whole and healthy on a daily basis. The gift of being creative. You can surprise yourself with the process of just simple creative thinking.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d most likely put it towards our next home and life phase. I’d love to live a little south of here in Florence Oregon. So the ability to have extra funds to fix up the next studio space and a greenhouse for my plant creatures would be incredible. Potentially maybe even getting a van to hit shows around the country… hit some art fairs which i haven’t done in a few years. Basically just reinvesting in my art life and padding the journey.
