They say a photo is worth one thousand words, but I'm inclined to say it's worth more. Photography is like magic; through cinematic vision, a storyline is stamped into the timeline of existence. A photo is a connection to the seeds we planted in our youth, often hidden away in dusty boxes, forgotten about, and left to be relived 50 years later.
Where do you find inspiration?To me, art isn't something that needs inspiration; it is a connection to myself and the roots of my lineage. Art is medicine, the gift of healing the soul. I learned who I was through music, paint, handmade medicines, and, above all else, love from the artists before me. Art that has been passed down through generations, like the beads of my rosary, and cinematic vision is simply my outlet for sharing it.
What would you do with $25,000?This money would be used to buy a professional photography camera and provide a financial cushion, allowing me to focus on my studies at the University of Miami, where I am studying sports medicine and business law, with electives in art.
