It is the journey. The in between concept and final product. The blood sweat and tears of creating. Its a direct connection to the soul.

I prefer found object and upcycled mixed media. However, anything that evokes thought and feeling. I love finding ways to incorporate "trash" into pieces where you wouldn't think there would be trash. I like mixing and mashing techniques together to create something new. I love to get my hands dirty. I feel that there is an intimate connection in pieces that you physically bring to life, vs digital. I do love digital art as well, but it holds a different place in my heart.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere. Mostly through human connection and my own personal experience. People are fascinating and our emotions and struggles inspire me to create things that speak to the journey of life. I also get inspired to speak out politically through art. I was taught in art school that the most honest history recorded is through the art of the time. I aspire to be one of those voices for my generation.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest into some land to build a larger studio warehouse to live and work in a more conducive space. Right now my studio is our tiny second bedroom with very little ventilation. It would be nice to have a space that works more efficiently. I have limited space and ventilation right now. I create daily, and my space impacts me daily. I would also like to put aside some money to set up an art camp for under served kids in my community. Exposure to art is so important.
