Art with meaning. Art with emotional depth, and with intelligence behind it. If you’re talking about art forms then I’d say I don’t have a favourite. I move between various; drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, poetry… Currently, my projects are in sculpture and collage.
Where do you find inspiration?Essentially it comes from everywhere and everything. It’s more the ability to see, to let my mind and my heart take me places. The line, the shape, the curve of an object, a piece of music, even the sound of the wind blowing through the branches of a tree. Bones, stones, fashion… They trigger something inside of me - maybe a mood or feeling, an image; I let my mind go with it.
What would you do with $25,000?Easy answer; lunch, definitely lunch. But seriously? Likely a press for lithography. It’s something I miss terribly. I can make lino prints or block prints now but a good press…(sigh)
