I create art because it’s an outlet for me to get away from dealing with the things that are around me. It’s peaceful.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I specialize in hyper realistic portraits using graphite, while sometimes also using charcoal. I also enjoy doing landscape paintings using acrylic paint.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration from being a competitive person. I know art is different for each person. For me, I played sports growing up and sports help shape my life, and my art honestly. It made me just want to keep going and forcing myself to get better and better everyday. Now, I don’t go a day without at least thinking about my work, and how to make it better. Whether it be from sharpening my skills and techniques or just letting art be my escape from the world. I just want to be the best me.
What would you do with $25,000?Honestly, I would be shocked to receive this awesome prize. I’m honestly shocked to be writing this right now. But I would just catch up on some bills and get some more materials. It’s very expensive being an artist these days! But also, take my wife out on a nice date night, watch a movie and have some dinner. That would be lovely. Thanks again for the opportunity!
