Creating art is my healing force. It carried me through cancer, and today I share that healing power with others.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love painting both figurative and abstract work equally. Each offers a different way to express emotion, energy, and human connection. Nature continues to be a deep source of inspiration, and through color, movement, and texture, I strive to create work that brings beauty, reflection, and a sense of peace.
Where do you find inspiration? After more than 30 years in New York City, I continue to be inspired by its extraordinary diversity, creativity, and constant energy. I also find inspiration in nature, meditation, and moments of introspection, where stillness often becomes the starting point of my creative process.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this support to sustain my studio practice in New York City and continue creating work that explores healing, connection, and transformation. Having personally experienced the therapeutic power of art during a difficult health journey, I feel deeply passionate about sharing that experience with others through painting, art therapy, workshops, and community gatherings. This opportunity would allow me to keep creating while expanding spaces where art can uplift, connect, and heal.
