Creating is how I express my love for the environment, it’s my offering and my way of giving back to the world that now needs more art.

I enjoy creating sculptural art rooted in environmental consciousness, like working with organic matter, handmade paper, and textures that invite touch. My work celebrates transformation in the living world. Experimentation and material exploration are a big part of my process. Yet no matter the medium, everything I make becomes a painting at heart. Drawing and painting are where I find my deepest comfort, and that sensibility lives in every sculpture, every texture and in every piece I make.
Where do you find inspiration? The outdoors, trees, ecosystems and the underground networks of roots and mycelium connecting everything. The cycles of growth and decay, textures in plants, colors in animals, are all an infinite visual resource for me. I'm moved by how living systems collaborate to form a balance in something greater than themselves. I'm also inspired by artists experimenting with recycled materials and bioplastics, reminding me that creativity and environmental responsibility can beautifully coexist.
What would you do with $25,000?I would open a community studio space where people create, learn, exhibit their art and inspire one another. I'd offer papermaking and painting workshops to name a few, providing materials that go beyond plastic, reconnecting people with natural processes. This dream has lived in me since graduating with my master's degree. $25,000 would make it a real, a place where I leave a positive mark, share my passion for art, and build a community united by creativity and love for the environment.
