What is your favorite type of art to create?

“I love the abstract—creating from nothing. Every mind has its own perspective. In a world where everything already exists, where things can be copied and easily acquired… it’s incredible to create something truly unique and unmatched.

Where do you find inspiration?

In my anger, in my joy. In the good moments of my life, and in the difficult ones. In sadness. Simply in myself, and in the love that surrounds me despite everything.

What would you do with $25,000?

“I would create a foundation to donate school supplies each year to under-resourced schools in the city that raised me—San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato, Mexico. Children deserve to walk with their imagination; it should never be dimmed. So much of that begins in school, when they realize what they’re capable of and how far they can go. I was once a little girl who dreamed big at the sight of my backpack filled with everything I needed. And I’d also buy myself a cold brew… to keep painting.”
