Lydia "Luna" Schrock

Art has always given me something to turn to when I had nothing else. I like to depict that darkness holds beauty just as much as light.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Fine arts, graphite, charcoal, black and grey, I also occasionally enjoy high contrast color work.

Where do you find inspiration?

Look around you. The people that feel the most forgotten often see you the clearest. The people that hurt the most are the purest. The people that have nothing are the kindest. The people that have had the most taken are the most giving. The people that take the most punches are the first to stand up. We learn from the darkest parts of life. They help us grow. They push us to be better and inspire us. There's beauty in the darkest parts of life. We often forget this. I'm inspired by it.

What would you do with $25,000?

Put it towards my tattooing career and savings to someday own my own shop with a gallery to support local artists and give them the opportunity and recognition they deserve.
