"Scrappy" Multi Media Bead Embroidery Jewelry & Freeform Cuff Bracelets using all shapes and sizes of Seed Beads. Items are sewn using different scraps of things: leather, suede, card stock, Tyvek (painted and melted), bubble wrap, snake skin and a variety of other materials. All pieces are sewn down- no glue and then beads are added for detail and texture. It's a great way to re-purpose and recycle materials into treasures! We all need a little Scrappy-ness in our lives!!
Where do you find inspiration?I love all colors and color combinations. My inspiration comes from nature and other art work I see in galleries and art shows. Inspiration comes naturally for me and combining color palettes is a great form of expression. Inspiration also comes from other bead artists & my students; we all learn from each other.
What would you do with $25,000?Help support the arts in my local community and get supplies for classes I teach. I would like to go to a Gallery walk and buy others art to support them and have beautiful artwork on my walls.
