I make and exhibit art as a way to record and report my life stories and experiences.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Mixed media sculpture. I usually start with an idea, and in imagining the finished piece, I figure out my materials and processes based on what is feasible. I'm constantly learning new processes to create the work I create.
Where do you find inspiration?I'm inspired by my life experiences: interaction with my family and friends, conversations with my students, places I visit, current events, political and social issues, etc.
What would you do with $25,000?Maybe take a family trip to somewhere fun. And I would buy new tools for my studio with whatever is left over.
