I love creating art because it’s the most incredible outlet to process and capture a variety of my most impactful life experiences.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create mixed media sculptures, and I have recently learned that I especially enjoy constructing larger works. With a university student budget I use whatever materials are available to me to create my works. I enjoy sculpture the most because it requires a lot of physical movement often times making creation processes feel like a piece of performative art within themselves
Where do you find inspiration?I find most of my inspiration from my personal life experiences, as well as my own opinions on various social and political events happening in the world specifically in relation to overconsumption and the disgusting overgrowth of AI in the art world.
What would you do with $25,000?I would help bring back art programs to my university! With our art program being shut down I would love to lead create student run programs that can hopefully inspire greater future endowment from even larger sponsors! I think this is really important as Kamloops has one of the only art programs for higher learners in over a 200km radius. Keeping the TRU art program is integral not only because it is a creation hub for rural BC artists but it is their greatest networking spot as well!
