I like art because it helps me understand myself and the world around me in ways words often cannot. Art creates emotional connections.

Ceramics is my main medium, it combines creativity with process. I enjoy shaping clay by hand and watching it transform through firing. The unpredictability of glaze adds excitement, making each piece unique. Ceramics allows me to create both functional and expressive work, connecting art with everyday life while constantly challenging my skills.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration comes from everyday life, nature, and personal experiences. I look at textures, colors, and patterns around me, as well as other artists’ work for new ideas. Experimenting with materials and embracing mistakes also inspires me, helping me grow creatively. Even emotions and memories can guide my work, turning simple ideas into meaningful pieces.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win, I would invest the money into building a functional home ceramics studio. I would purchase a kiln, a reliable pottery wheel, and proper ventilation to create a safe workspace. I would also buy quality tools, shelving for drying and storage, and a variety of clay and glaze materials to expand my experimentation. Having a home studio would allow me to work consistently outside of class, refine my skills, and take on commissions. It would give me the freedom to develop my style.
