I love to create art so that people can still see there is meaning to the world and things can truly be real. Down to earth and beautiful.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is functional ceramic items. I’ve always loved playing with clay or play doh growing up and started ceramics in high school during covid. Functional ceramic pieces are my favorite because even if I don’t use them it makes my heart happy knowing how useful it still is and how it’s fully sculpted by hands.
Where do you find inspiration?I love to be outdoors with my puppy, so we get a lot of good ideas on our explorations. A breathe of fresh air and seeing nature is a healthy reminder. We love to visit farmers markets to meet other potters to learn new techniques too.
What would you do with $25,000?I would fully reinvest it into my studio and small business. I’m currently in a growth stage and it would help me function a lot better with what I have. I would want to attend a ceramic workshop to learn more about ceramics. There’s potters around the world that teach specific techniques with pottery and it’s fascinating! I would love to learn more about Crystalline pottery.
