The type of art that fuels my soul is artwork based around feelings, relationships, and emotions. Almost all of my work is centered around deep feelings in relationships, mostly depressive. I love creating realism oil paintings and drawings. I love working in B&W, and desaturated color. I work with portraiture, as capturing people and animals to the best of my ability satisfies my mind. My favorite compliments to receive are when someone says they feel things from viewing my artwork.

My main inspiration is always my heart and mind. I have so much emotion inside me, and I have a big heart. The feelings inside of me, as well as listening to music, inspire my artwork heavily. I can find inspiration in media, and from relationships around me. I’ve personally been through things that I can only sort through when creating art. I hope to show others they aren’t alone, or to just have the viewer feel something. Memories take my mind places where I build ideas to create artwork.

If I am chosen to win the money, it would help me expansively. I just graduated from art college last May, and have began my tattoo journey. The money would help me pay off my huge student debt, and even fund my materials for creating art and for tattooing. It would take so much stress off of me, and help give me the push I need to soar even further into my dream that I’ve had since I was in elementary school. Creating art is a part of me, and the prize would help me greatly.
