I create art now because it brings out this addictive feeling. I feel capable, calm, angry, sad, happy. I feel it all and it’s incredible.

I love painting and drawing portraits. There’s a different kind of connection you feel with a person when you draw them. Even if it’s a stranger. It’s intimate in a way I can’t really describe. You just have to do it to know. You feel connected while also wondering of the story behind the details of them. Big and small.
Where do you find inspiration?I find most of my inspiration with music. I’ll hear a song and when it hits the right way my brain immediately wants to capture the emotion I’m feeling. The biggest inspiration is when I can’t figure out how I’m feeling during that process. It makes me think hard and ties me more to the piece I’m working on. It’s sometimes impossible to not let those thoughts go on and on. It’s the type of inspiration that doesn't need motivation behind it. Once you feel it you have to see it through.
What would you do with $25,000?Ive been working and working and saving and saving but the way things are it’s truly never enough. If I want more I have to neglect my passion for art. I would buy a cheap car and then use the rest of the money so I can afford to live on a part time job for a year. So that I have the time to start forming my art into a career. I could start living a life where I can nurture my talent more and watch it grow.
