I love creating art because it lets me transform simple things into something that feels entirely my own.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favourite art to create is something that connects with me personally. Currently, I am creating upcycled Pokémon Energy card art, where I cut up Pokémon Energy cards and transform them into detailed, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. With a wide range of hobbies and interests, I often have more ideas than I can bring to life. My current focus is on Pokémon. I started collecting Pokémon cards, which bring a sense of nostalgia, and the Energy cards really caught my attention. Focusing on details that others may miss, I transform them into something creative and unique.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to take my art further than I’ve been able to so far. I would travel to art shows to share my work and connect with people around the world. Having already experienced so many wholesome and meaningful conversations at my local art shows, it would be incredible to expand that experience and connect with other artists, art enthusiasts, and art lovers - especially Pokémon lovers - on a global level.
