I fell in love with mixed media and expressive work that lets me layer materials, ideas, and experiences. I create pieces that hold multiple meanings by acknowledging every part of an experience, resulting in work that feels raw, honest, and open to interpretation.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life—the beauty and the challenges, whether simple or complex, physical or internal. My work comes from pushing through and making sense of what I’ve experienced, with the hope of connecting to others. I’m inspired by the things people carry, even when they go unspoken.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my ability to keep creating without interruption as I navigate surgery and recovery. Art is something I’ve had to fight to return to, and I don’t take that lightly. This would help me expand my practice, build a stronger body of work, and share that resilience in a meaningful way.
