I paint to celebrate the beauty in our world. Wonder & meaning surrounds us, my hope is to bring the magic of life into focus with my art.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating paintings that celebrate the wonders of nature through a richly layered process. My work builds over time, using thick applications of acrylic paint, collage, marker, and oil, applied in multiple stages. Each piece evolves layer by layer until it feels expressed, and complete.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired to create paintings of landscapes, flowers and wildlife to celebrating the beauty and wonder of our world. These elements have the power to elevate our spirits and our spaces, to heal us in a way that only nature can. I hope to honor the magic of life and the beauty of our planet with these paintings.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the $25,000 into securing a larger, upgraded studio space where I could both teach art classes and create larger scale paintings. I would stock up on supplies to support both my teaching and creative work, and I would invest in upgrading my website and camera equipment to better share my artistic process and connect with a wider audience.
