I love to paint emotively with heavy bodied acrylics on all sizes of canvas. I especially love to get lost in the magic of the clouds and sky. We are given this gift of the sky and it’s never the same way twice. We can get lost in its beauty, we are awed by its vastness and power. It’s an escape but also grounding. It can bring us back to childhood or spill the wisdoms of life into our aging souls. What ever flows from within out on to the canvas is from the depth of my heart with love.
Where do you find inspiration?Quite often my inspiration comes from stories, memories, the beauty I see in others, and the sky itself. I have thousands of photos of the sky ever changing and sharing secret palettes of color I desperately want to capture. Oddly I don’t paint the photos in an attempt to recreate what I witnessed. It’s more a collection of colors that saturate my mind.
What would you do with $25,000?I would so love to use the money to help me continue to create, build a solid website , but also to care for my family. They are wildly supportive of my creativity so being able to share a moment like this with them would be grand. To show them to try even if you think you won’t win. And well the practical side of me says to save some for a rainy day.
