Fusing acrylics and hand-embroidery to capture the vibrant identity and unique texture of the world's great metropolises
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My passion lies in creating mixed-media art that bridges the gap between traditional painting and textile work. I specialize in fusing acrylic on canvas with meticulous hand-embroidery, a process that adds unique texture and a vibrant identity to my pieces. I love how the thread brings a three-dimensional life to the colors on the canvas
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the pulse of the streets and my travels, where I absorb the textures and energy of different environments. I am deeply moved by people's stories when they speak about their home countries; those personal narratives and cultural roots fuel my creativity. I also find a constant source of ideas within the pages of books, translating literary emotions into visual art.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest this grant into expanding my art studio, to create a more efficient space for large-scale commissions. Additionally, I would use the funds to source premium materials for my upcoming mixed-media series and to further promote my work within the international art community
