Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love creating visual art, sketching, drawing and painting makes me see everything in a more detailed way, I become truly aware of shapes, lights, shades, reflections and how one element influences another. I find it pleasing to blend graphite and get a new texture on the paper as consequence of it, but overall it’s mind blowing to me when I’m so captivated that I become able to see a whole variety of colors in the simplest things like green in a morning sky, it’s just therapeutic.

Where do you find inspiration?

Mostly my past and culture, I’m a romantic yet nostalgic person by nature and there are things that I can only share by making a visual representation of it and if it catches someone else’s interest I take it as an opportunity to share its meaning or motive. On the other hand, there’s other paintings that I made that reflect what moves me, like an event that had nothing to do with me but had a deep impact on the way I feel or think about something.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would like my children to be enriched by culture because I believe that that will make them empathetic and kind to others and themselves, so I would invest that money in any discipline that they choose to keep themselves creative or in constant growth.
