My favourite kind of art to create is surreal experimental acrylic painting. The type of art that allows the viewer to have a unique, and personal experience regardless of my original intent. I prefer that my audience create their own narrative when experiencing my work; based on their own perceptions, experiences, and emotional baggage.
Where do you find inspiration?At the risk of sounding a little unhinged, I will give the most honest answer I have personally found to be true. I find inspiration from the shadows on the walls, and the quiet whispers of the wind when I get lost in the woods.
What would you do with $25,000?My hope is to start an art therapy program for adults with disabilities. In my current vocation I facilitate a creative expressions stream at a day program for young adults with disabilities. I would very much like to expand my practice and deliver a more in depth, specialized program for those who always seem to find themselves on the periphery of societal structure.
