I love to create because it gives my body the ability express what words cannot. I want to use art to connect and explore.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create art including ducks, one of my special interests. I also love to create art representing the autistic community and share my experiences with being autistic and my inner world. I love many mediums and I enjoy including swirls, patterns and details in my art. Using traditional tools are a sensory pleasure for me as well.
Where do you find inspiration?Being a very vivid, visual thinker, I find inspiration within myself and my story. My internal world has always been an adventurous place and I’d like to put that onto paper or canvas. I know there is a huge lack of autism representation in adult women and I want to spread awareness and acceptance to make people feel seen and supported. I’ve always loved art. It has been a lifelong passion and interest of mine. I’ve decided to ignore the naysayers and their negative opinions and pursue art.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won this contest I could have a huge load lifted off my shoulders. I’m currently dealing with autistic burnout that’s been lasting months already and don’t have close understanding or support with that. I’m working a full time job that’s very dysregulating, and I’m supposed to be starting school soon. Using these funds to pay off some medical bills and debts I have would significantly reduce my load and I could focus more on taking care of myself and use some to fund my art of course.
