I have a very personal language, and an extensive body of work developed throughout more than 25 years. However my approach to art making is always through discovery and exploration of new aesthetics and materials. Not knowing what is going to happen next is my drive, it gives me a sense of adventure.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere, we are made of all these bits and pieces of culture, there’s inspiration in so many different places , people and cultures… My pieces can be influenced from punk rock subculture to the Egyptians and pre columbian art.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use absolutely every penny to buy art supplies , art training and equipment. We are a family of 4 and my art budget is getting tighter and tighter due to the cost of living.
