Painting calms me and opens up my mind. Working in darks, lights, & shadows is like life after all. Ever changing with moods.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love abstract and impressionistic works. Those are my favorites to create tho I do love an occasional whimsical piece. Art is an outlet for me and has been since I was in my late teens studying sculpting and clay building. I now use mostly acrylic paints as I’m most comfortable with them and love to try different textures, brushes and other items to create pieces.
Where do you find inspiration? The earth and the universe are my inspirations. Both are just magnificent and difficult to explain in mere words. I love visuals.
What would you do with $25,000?Well, I’m retired now and disabled and live mostly off social security so painting tools and canvases aren’t exactly in my budget. Winning the money would be a huge help for me to continue creating. I know there are far more talented artists that have followings and resources, so I thank you for your invitation. I would also donate to my local Art Lab at Snug Harbor. It’s an awesome place for artists.
