I consider myself a landscape/Gothic artist I prefer black and white … I prefer ink over pencil and charcoal style pieces

My favorite types of artwork adhere more to the obscure and darker sides of reality. I often try to pierce the veil and reveal imagery that appeal to a more gothic audience. Ink over pencil in black-and-white art form is my absolute favorite depiction.. It enables me to express the duality of the picture in a black-and-white form with very minimal to no gray area in between. I also am drawn to a charcoal style with very minuscule splashes of color that create depth.
Where do you find inspiration?I consider myself an old soul…. I believe that my spirit animal is more like a weathered oak tree. That has survived many storms, droughts, and vigorous attempts to be cut down… but yet I remain.. weathered but solid and secure. I draw my inspiration from nature and my philosophical views on the landscape of the reality, we are all in. Often the the images of dreams that I’ve had in the past dictate the majority of my work.
What would you do with $25,000?I am a single father, raising a little girl on my own. We don’t really have the greatest of all living situations.. I would definitely use this money to get us a place in a better neighborhood where she can make friends and grow up in an atmosphere where she create amazing childhood memories.. winning this money would enable me to do that. It would be a culminating achievement of what I believed for the longest time to be a wasted talent that I possess..
