My art comes from surviving pain. I create to expose child abuse and neglect and to make sure no child feels unseen.

Poetry feels like my favorite art because it gives me a way to express emotions I didn’t have the words or safety to express as a child, especially after going through trauma. I can put my thoughts into metaphors and images instead of saying everything directly, which makes it easier to face without feeling overwhelmed. It helps me turn confusing or painful experiences into something meaningful and gives me a sense of control over feelings that once felt chaotic.
Where do you find inspiration? My past experiences inspire me to write because they shaped how I see and feel the world, especially the moments that were difficult or confusing. Writing gives me a way to process those experiences, turning emotions I once didn’t understand into something clear and meaningful. I draw from memories, feelings, and lessons I’ve carried with me, using them as the foundation for my words.
What would you do with $25,000?If I win $25,000, the best thing I can do is use it to create stability first, then build toward my future. I would also help family and friends as much as I can
