Street art is alive!! It’s for everyone. Hopefully my work inspires and brightens people’s days and spaces while they walk to work.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Graffiti!! It’s the most fun and free form of expression. It’s in the moment, adapts to specific spaces, and is seen by everyone! It rides as long as the world lets it. It can be interactive with other people (for better or worse). It adds color to spaces which would otherwise be uninspiring. You can create large works of art in a short amount of time. It’s exciting and alive, and unlike any other art form out there. There is a whole subculture and history of graffiti im proud to be a part of.
Where do you find inspiration?I was born an artist so inspiration comes naturally to me! I lean into Asian imagery as I grew up with a Korean grandmother, so this influence shows heavily in my work. I’m inspired by all the graffiti writers I paint with, and am always learning new tips from them. Some fine artists who inspire me are Audrey Kawasaki and Sam Flores.
What would you do with $25,000?Continue to live my dream of creating art on Maui and bringing color to the beautiful Hawaiian islands! I would paint big murals for everyone to enjoy! Give back to the community which has blessed me so much 🙏
