I am driven to create art because it allows me to make sense of movement, memory, and the shifting ground of identity.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I'm a multidisciplinary artist who works with various types of media. Drawing is the generative core of my entire artistic practice, eventually manifesting in various mediums such as 16 mm filming with Bolex camera, glass, cyanotype, printmaking, collage, jewelry, ceramics, and even more. My work is consistently inspired by the landscape, environment and place. Currently, my primary focus lies at the intersection of glass, ceramics, and cyanotype.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the layers of the landscape. To me, a landscape isn’t just a view; it’s a living record of time and transformation. I’m fascinated by how natural elements like the shifting forms of clouds or the textures of the earth can mirror our internal human experiences, especially the feeling of displacement and belonging.
What would you do with $25,000?If I am awarded this grant, my primary goal is to foster entrepreneurship in support of the artistic community. I aspire to establish a space dedicated to teaching and transferring my experiences to the next generation of artists. My central priority within this initiative will be identifying emerging talents and providing them with a platform for international recognition.
