While I’ve also worked in clay and stone, sculptural wood furnishings is my passion. Some of my clients desire more traditional works, others allow me the freedom to play with the forms dancing in my subconscious. Wood can be completely manipulated by craftsman, or it can take the reins and guide my hand.
Where do you find inspiration?For me, inspiration comes from emotion. Depending on the design, Those emotions can come from the wood itself or from nature or even music. LED Zeppelin comes to mind with its driving beats and sometimes whist full melodies.
What would you do with $25,000?Sharing my love for woodworking is something I’ve always wanted to do. The money would enable me to create a teaching program in my studio.
